In a joint effort to offer professional training opportunities to the UNMC research community, Sponsored Programs Administration and the Office of Budget and Analysis are sponsoring a grant management training live-satellite workshop Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Hospital Amphitheater. <\/p>\n

“What Departmental Administrators Need to Know about Post-Award and Cost Analysis,” is highly recommended for faculty, grant administrators and support staff who work on budget development and grants management responsibilities. <\/p>\n

The live workshop will introduce participants to the relationship between departments and central offices from the “account set up” to the “account close out” phase. Take the opportunity to learn about grant administration from nationally recognized experts. <\/p>\n

Due to limited seating, registration will be granted on a first-come basis. Submit the registration form by Sept. 9 to register.<\/p>\n

Purpose<\/b><\/p>\n

At this live workshop, participants will be introduced to the relationship between grant departments versus the central office. Typically, the pre-award office “determines the fate” for the post-award and cost analysis personnel. To work seamlessly (and to avoid problems and pitfalls), experience suggests that we could all benefit from understanding the critical components of each other’s functions and operations. <\/p>\n
