Dennis Smith, Ph.D., has announced the campus allocations for the cuts mandated by the recently concluded special session of the Nebraska Legislature, as well as a time-line for campus announcements of specific cuts.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar amounts that must be cut are:<br \/>\nUniversity of Nebraska-Lincoln&#8211; $7,513,953<br \/>\nUniversity of Nebraska Medical Center&#8211; $3,068,892<br \/>\nUniversity of Nebraska at Omaha&#8211; $2,286,088<br \/>\nUniversity of Nebraska at Kearney&#8211; $1,208,572<br \/>\nUniversity of Nebraska Central Administration&#8211; $1,124,085<br \/>\nNebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Curtis&#8211; $76,010<br \/>\nTotal &#8212; $15,277,600<\/p>\n<p>Each campus chancellor will announce his or her recommendations for operations and programs that will be affected by the cuts on Sept. 10, with final decisions on the cuts expected to be announced by President Smith in mid-November.
