The new system is named Carecast. Final plans are underway to implement this new version, which is currently used by NHS, UNMC and UMA. <\/p>\n<p>Carecast is a more robust information system with more capabilities to enhance patient care. This upgrade sets the stage for future implementation of new functionality and processes such as physician order entry.<\/p>\n<p>The look and feel of many of the Carecast screens will be the same, but some functions will look different and a few new functions have been added. Users will notice significant changes in the way they are able to view results and manage lists.
