Sponsored Programs Administration and the Office of Budget, Analysis and Financial Compliance will co-host a training session entitled, “Budgeting Fear Factor” on Tuesday, May 27. <\/p>\n

This training session is intended to alleviate budgeting fears, so every day does not seem like a walk through the real Fear Factor show. Appropriate for grant administrators, accountants and investigators, the training sessions are designed to increase participants’ awareness and knowledge of budgets and related financial compliance standards.<\/p>\n

The session will address your fears by answering the following questions: <\/p>\n

Fear 1 – Am I budgeting expenses as direct costs, when they are true F&A costs?<\/p>\n

Fear 2 – How many unallowable costs have I charged to my projects?<\/p>\n

Fear 3 – What is MTDC and can I budget that way?<\/p>\n

Fear 4 – Do I know when to use MTDC and TDC?<\/p>\n

Fear 5 – Am I going to jail for doing any of this?<\/p>\n

Fear 6 – What if I don’t even know the questions I should ask?<\/p>\n

To accommodate as many people as possible, participants can choose to attend a morning (9-11 a.m.) or afternoon (1-3 p.m.) session held in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater. <\/p>\n
