Gift certificates also may be redeemed during this time.<\/p>\n<p>UMA and UNMC are exploring alternative uses for the LEC&#8217;s location at 2255 S. 132nd Street, Suite B, in Omaha, Shaw said.<\/p>\n<p>The LEC opened March 2001 under the direction of David Bouda, M.D. Dr. Bouda resigned his post in March 2003.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With the departure of Dr. Bouda, and the difficult budget challenges facing UNMC and UMA, it wasn&#8217;t feasible to continue operating the LEC,&#8221; Shaw said. <\/p>\n<p>Shaw also said that continued development of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program would be on hold, pending the resolution of funding and leadership issues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lifestyle Enhancement Center,
