{"id":20868,"date":"2003-10-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2003-10-13T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2003\/10\/13\/getting-to-know-u-online\/"},"modified":"2003-10-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2003-10-13T05:00:00","slug":"getting-to-know-u-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2003\/10\/13\/getting-to-know-u-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting to Know &#8216;U&#8217; online"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Beginning today, UNMC Today is launching a new feature designed to highlight some of the 3,700 men and women who are the backbone of UNMC and its success.<\/p>\n<p>The feature, titled &#8220;Getting to Know &#8216;U,&#8217; &#8221; allows employees to share such tidbits of information as their favorite book, greatest pet peeve, life goal and most prized possession.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s an opportunity for the UNMC family to learn more about their co-workers&#8217; lives beyond the office, lab or classroom,&#8221; said Karen Burbach, editor of UNMC Today. &#8220;Given the size of UNMC, we often know a person&#8217;s title or job responsibility, but little about them personally. &#8216;Getting to Know &#8216;U&#8217; &#8216; will help us better connect with everyone on campus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>UNMC employees are encouraged to submit their information via the online form on the UNMC Today Intranet (info.unmc.edu). Entries, along with the individual&#8217;s photo, will be posted as they are received.
