Landon is the director of the Physician Assistant program at UNMC.<br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\nIn celebration of Allied Health Professions Week, the School of Allied Health Professions is sponsoring a noon luncheon today (Tuesday) for SAHP faculty, students and staff.<\/p>\n<p>Anne Marie Aita, an Omahan with a master&#8217;s degree in urban education, will address the group with the presentation, &#8220;Allied Health Professional &#8211; PRICELESS.&#8221;  Aita&#8217;s presentation will begin at noon in the Wittson Hall Amphitheater. <\/p>\n<p>A display table highlighting allied health careers will be outside the Nebraska Caf\u00c3\u00a9 today and Wednesday. The tables will be up all day, but will be staffed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Constituting approximately 60 percent of all health care providers, allied health practitioners greatly influence health care delivery by supporting, facilitating, and complementing the roles of physicians and other health care specialists. This collaboration, which emphasizes the strengths of all health professions, is enhancing the quality of care in this country and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>The UNMC School of Allied Health Professions educates students in 10 different allied health disciplines: clinical perfusion, cytotechnology, diagnostic medical sonography, medical nutrition, medical technology, nuclear medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, radiation therapy, and radiography. There are 326 students enrolled in the school, and their learning experiences are directed by 34 faculty members (31 FTE). <\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in learning more about the allied health
