In today&#8217;s excerpt, King talks about human progress.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Brown, acclaimed veteran African American journalist and talk show host, will present the Martin Luther King Commemorative Presentation on Monday, Jan. 19.<br \/>\nThe program, which is free to the public, will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the Storz Pavilion, lower level of Clarkson Hospital. There will be free refreshments available for the first 300 people. Overflow audience members will be able to see a live video simulcast in the Wittson Hall Amphitheater.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><TABLE border=\"1\" width=\"200\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"10\" align=\"left\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/mlkwithwife.gif\" border=\"2\" align=\"right\" alt=\"picture disc.\"><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<font face=\"arial\" font size = \"-1\"><br \/>\nMartin Luther King Jr. with his wife after a conviction for demonstration during the Montgomery Bus boycott.  <\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>&#8220;Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable.
