In response, UNMC ITS assembled its technical Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), took appropriate actions and continues to monitor the network traffic on campus.  <\/p>\n<p>UNMC e-mail users may see the following subject lines in their Lotus Notes mail:  <\/p>\n<p><b>Subject:  Report to Recipient(s).<\/b> The text will indicate you received an infected attachment and it was deleted.  <\/p>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<p><b>Subject:  DELIVERY FAILURE xxx TRANSACTION FAILED.<\/b>  The text will indicate the message you sent could not be delivered. Most likely you will not recognize the name of the recipient.  <\/p>\n<p>These messages are symptoms of the virus, but it does not mean your workstation is infected. You should delete the messages.    <\/p>\n<p>UNMC ITS again advises e-mail users to:<\/p>\n<p><UL><br \/>\n<LI>Ensure your virus protection is installed and has been updated this week with the most current file. UNMC&#8217;s e-mail and The Nebraska Medical Center e-mail servers are running antivirus software.<\/p>\n<p><LI>Do not open attachments from senders you do not know and be extremely cautious in opening e-mail attachments from senders you recognize.
