\n<\/TABLE>William Gust, M.D., and Rowen Zetterman, M.D., have been close friends for more than 30 years. But, the longtime faculty members from the UNMC Internal Medicine Department will always look back on Easter week 2004 as one of their fondest memories. <\/p>\n

They each received an early Easter present that came in the form of a little bundle, or more precisely, a “bundle of joy.” <\/p>\n

The two physicians added new grandsons to their families with both babies being born at University Tower earlier this week. <\/p>\n

\n<\/TABLE>The Zetterman grandson – Turner Zetterman – arrived at 9:13 a.m. on Monday, April 5, weighing 8 lbs., 12 oz., and measuring 20 1\/2 inches. Turner, who is named after former University of Nebraska Quarterback Turner Gill, is the first son of Justin and Julie Zetterman and is the couple’s third child. He joins his sisters, Emily, 5, and Allison, 3. Julie Zetterman is administrator of the UNMC Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Turner is the fourth grandchild for Dr. Zetterman and his wife, Emily.<\/p>\n

The Gust grandson – Adam Rice – arrived at 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6. He weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz., and measured 21 inches. His parents are David and Melodie (Gust) Rice, and he joins his sister, Jordyn, 11, and brother, Evan, 3. The three children are the only grandchildren for Dr. Gust and his wife, Mary Beth.<\/p>\n

“Rowen and I have known each other since 1970 when we were both doing our residencies at the VA Medical Center, and our family members have always been good friends,” Dr. Gust said. “We knew Julie was going to have a C-section on Monday, but Melodie came about a week early. This is one of those memories that both families will always treasure.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
