Technical difficulties between the distributing vendor, Insala, and UNMC servers prompted some to receive multiple copies, while others received none. <\/p>\n<p>John Russell, assistant vice chancellor for Business and Finance, and executive director of Human Resources, apologized for the inconvenience. &#8220;We&#8217;ve determined that the servers had difficulty communicating with one another and, as a result, some of the surveys were blocked each time we attempted to send it,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Employees may only respond to the survey one time, Russell said, and should delete all other e-mails from Insala. The e-mails provide employees with a username and password to access the survey and are for one time only use.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-question confidential survey to reassess the perceptions of current, regular employees,should not take more than a few minutes to complete. All individual survey responses will be completely confidential. In order to assure confidentiality, UNMC has obtained the services of a private consulting firm, Career Design, Inc., to process and tabulate the survey responses. No one from UNMC will see any employee&#8217;s individual responses, Russell said. <\/p>\n<p>The survey is being sent to all regular full-time and part-time employees who have a Lotus Notes e-mail address. Those who do not have a Lotus Notes e-mail address will receive a paper copy survey form.
