They also visited with professionals around Omaha in their career areas of interest.<\/p>\n<p>The event was part of the Chicano Awareness Center&#8217;s 16th Annual Latina\/Latino Youth Conference, which was co-hosted by UNMC on Oct. 27.<\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"1\" width=\"200\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"10\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/LYC31006.jpg\" border=\"2\" align=\"right\" alt=\"picture disc.\"><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<font face=\"arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\nJennifer Ramirez, a senior from Norfolk Senior High School, was one of 10 students who received scholarship during the conference.<br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>During the day, 10 students also received scholarships from area organizations and individuals. One of them was Jennifer Ramirez, a senior from Norfolk Senior High School, who came to the event to check out nursing programs. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m interested in nursing,&#8221; Ramirez said. &#8220;I was told about the program through my uncle and aunt, who is a nurse at UNMC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<!-- <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" title=\"F U ruUXWs   R F\">F U ruUXWs   R
