UNMC Physicians administrative offices are relocating to the Mutual of Omaha building located at 3333 Farnam St.<\/p>\n

“The Mutual of Omaha building was the only space that could accommodate our plans for a high quality work environment on a single floor,” said Troy Wilhelm, chief financial officer for UNMC Physicians. “It’s proximity to campus is great. The employees will be at the heart of one of the biggest property redevelopments in the city’s history and the space is first-class.”<\/p>\n

Many things were taken into consideration when searching for a new space that would meet the needs for UNMC Physicians’ administration.<\/p>\n

“We wanted the ability to accommodate our long-term needs,” said Wilhelm. “Parking, a high-quality space, proximity to campus, where employees currently reside and cost were all factors in our decision.”<\/p>\n

The target date for moving into the new space is estimated to be somewhere between February and April 2007.<\/p>\n

The move creates new opportunities for UNMC Physicians’ administration and is seen as an indicator of economic growth.<\/p>\n

“The need to move is driven by the accelerating expansion of the research and clinical enterprise on campus,” said Cory Shaw, chief administrative officer for UNMC Physicians. “An upgraded work environment for our administrative staff, consolidation of our corporate administrative functions and expansion of space available on campus to recruit new faculty are all great opportunities for our organization.”<\/p>\n
