McFadden Jr., M.D., a UNMC graduate who joined the faculty in 1949 and chaired the department of medical microbiology. A nationally-recognized pathologist, Dr. McFadden retired in 1985.<\/p>\n<p><B>The basic concern for the patient&#8217;s well being<\/B> remains the same in the College of Medicine, but the technology and advancement in knowledge has been immense.<\/p>\n<p><B>My advice to current medical students?<\/B> Learn as much as you can in med school.
