A note from UNMC Human Resources about compensation summaries.<\/I><\/p>\n

Each UNMC faculty and staff member who is eligible for benefits will soon receive a report from human resources that summarizes his or her pay and benefits for 2006. <\/p>\n

The individualized “Annual Statement of Earnings and Benefits,” which will be delivered in a pressure-sealed envelope identical to employees’ regular payroll advice form, is intended to help employees understand their total compensation package. <\/p>\n

“One of the action steps in the UNMC Strategic Plan is to improve employees’ understanding of their compensation,” said John Russell, assistant vice chancellor for human resources. “We believe this report will be a great way to accomplish that objective.”<\/p>\n

Each employee’s report will include his or her annual pay for 2006 and annual university and employee contributions toward each benefit in which the employee was enrolled in 2006. Employer and employee retirement contributions made in 2006 are also displayed on the report. <\/p>\n

“We think our faculty and staff will find this report to be informative and useful,” Russell said. “We intend to distribute it yearly from this point on.” <\/p>\n

Now that the report has been developed, employees can expect to receive it in January or February each year. In addition, the report will be available through UNMC ESS.<\/p>\n
