UNMC&#8217;s role helped confirm Vanderbilt&#8217;s discovery of a protein that starves staph of key nutrients it needs to survive.<\/p>\n<p>\n<object><\/object><\/p>\n<p>\nDr. Dunman explains the technology he developed that makes it possible to analyze bacteria (such as staph) at the molecular level. Doing so, makes it possible to understand the genetic makeup of the organism, which can lead to more effective treatments.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Novel
