\"pictureThe health care needs of women vary at each stage of life. <\/p>\n

To better understand the differences, the Olson Center for Women’s Health at UNMC is offering a four-part educational series that focuses on a certain age group and the health issues effecting that population.<\/p>\n

The series begins Thursday, March 27, with a look at issues affecting women age 60 and older including gynecologic cancers, breast health and physical therapy.<\/p>\n

“The Olson Center’s tagline — ‘for every stage of your life’ — emphasizes how we provide comprehensive services and convenient access to top health care professionals for women at any age,” said Lana Molczyk, Olson Center resource specialist. <\/p>\n

The educational series was a natural extension of those services, Molczyk said. <\/p>\n

“We wanted to develop an educational series that proved the Olson Center can provide education and services for every stage from early gynecologic care, healthy eating to menopause, and beyond,” she said. <\/p>\n

Each session will provide education on current health issues, resources and services on the focused age group and a tour of the new Olson Center for Women’s Health, which opened last fall. <\/p>\n

“The more you educate women on different health topics, hopefully, you make a difference,” Molczyk said. <\/p>\n
