\nUNMC employees and students enjoy the April 22 “Millionaires and Mansions” tour of Omaha’s early affluent neighborhoods. Another tour will be held on Tuesday, May 20 and focus on mansions north of Dodge Street.

\n<\/TABLE>The Durham Museum is once again offering a noon trolley tour of some of Omaha’s historic mansions. The tour will focus on mansions north of Dodge Street, including the Mercer Mansion, Cathedral neighborhood, Gifford Park and Bemis Park. <\/p>\n

See where many of Omaha’s most influential early residents built their majestic homes and hear stories about how these founding families lived and how their contributions influenced the growth of the city.<\/p>\n

The tour will begin at noon on Tuesday, May 20 and will last about one hour. The trolley will pick up riders outside the Durham Research Center on Durham Research Plaza. Seating is limited to 42 people and reservations must be made in advance. All students and staff of UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians may attend. Please contact Jill Carson at jlcarson@unmc.edu<\/a> to reserve your space. A $5 cash payment will be collected before riders board the trolley. <\/p>\n

The tour is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for medical center employees, students and their immediate family with a valid identification.
