\nMuch care is taken in the storage and display of the Durham Museum’s artifacts and exhibits. On Nov. 18, the museum’s curator, Carrie Wieners, will discuss how the museum preserves its artifacts and how people can go about properly preserving their own valuable artifacts and heirlooms.

If you’ve ever had these, and many other questions, then the Durham Museum has a workshop just for you. <\/p>\n

“Preservation Explained,” given exclusively for employees and students on the medical center campus, will explore with the Durham Museum’s Curator, Carrie Wieners, what goes on behind the scenes in a museum collection and why museums display objects in certain ways. <\/p>\n

Participants will be able to take an active hand in preserving museum collections pieces and learn valuable tricks that can help them better store and preserve their own collections. <\/p>\n

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Durham Museum. <\/p>\n
