\n<\/TABLE>The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society invites cancer patients, family members, nurses, social workers and other health professionals to a free presentation Tuesday, April 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (CDT).<\/p>\n

The presentation will be broadcast live from the Sorrell Center in Omaha via teleconference to Columbus, Grand Island, Lincoln, Kearney, Norfolk, North Platte, Seward and Scottsbluff.<\/p>\n

The talk will focus on leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, including how new cancer treatments are developed, the role of clinical trials in the advancement of treatment, and the facts, benefits and risks of participating in clinical trials.<\/p>\n

“The Road to Discovery: Emerging Therapies in Blood Cancers,” will be presented by Julie Vose, M.D., professor and chief of the section of oncology\/hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. <\/p>\n
