I am a sophomore at the University of Nebraska at Omaha majoring in biotechnology. I like traveling, riding my bike and doing anything outdoors. <\/p>\n<p><B>What or who influenced your interest in science?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>Since my childhood, I have been fascinated and curious about various complexities of science. My parents and my teachers in school and at UNO have always encouraged my curiosity and exposed me to the best facilities available. I believe this has influenced my interest in science. <\/p>\n<p><B>What is it about science that excites you?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>I am a very curious person. I like the fact that during research, answering one question leads to another question. It is a never-ending process. <\/p>\n<p><B>Will you pursue a career in science? If so, what do you hope to accomplish?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences. I owe a lot to my society as it has always been with me, be it in my good or bad times. An individual&#8217;s life is too short to repay all their debts. But one&#8217;s career is the finest way one can repay their debts to the society as they dedicate most of their life to their profession. I want to dedicate my life to research and discover new things for the welfare of mankind. <\/p>\n<p><B>Why is it important to have programs like INBRE?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>I like research, but programs like INBRE will help me to make sure that research is the right career for me.
