I attend Chadron State College. I am currently studying in the RHOP (Rural Health Opportunities Program) for pre-med, majoring in human biology. <\/p>\n<p><B>Has science always been a part of your life? <\/B> <\/p>\n<p>I have always been interested in science since I was a child, specifically in medicine and physiology. <\/p>\n<p><B>How is it important to you? <\/B> <\/p>\n<p>I find this important in what it can do to improve society and quality of life. What we can learn from study in various areas has potential to influence future advances in medicine, agriculture and business. <\/p>\n<p><B>Why did you choose to participate in the INBRE program? <\/B> <\/p>\n<p>I chose to participate in the INBRE program because of the excellent experience it provides, not only in research, but also the education the program provides in the weekly seminars. <\/p>\n<p><B>What do you hope to gain from the program?<\/B> <\/p>\n<p>Insight to the research process, experience, greater understanding about the project I will be working on and meeting great people.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty-six students from 10 different undergraduate and community college programs have joined the Institutional Development Award Program (IDeA) Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE)\/ Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network (BRIN) program.
