\n<\/TABLE>Thursday will mark an important day for UNMC as it unveils its new brand to the medical center community.<\/p>\n

All faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Swanson Hall Courtyard. (In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Durham Outpatient Center west atrium.) <\/p>\n

Remarks from Chancellor Harold M. Maurer, M.D. will begin at noon, along with a ceremonial unveiling.<\/p>\n

Free lunch and refreshments will be provided to all in attendance, as well as small gifts that incorporate the new UNMC icon.<\/p>\n

Thursday’s launch also marks the beginning of a Web site redesign. <\/p>\n

The new brand results from a year-long process which began with research and input from more than 2,600 faculty, staff, students and community stakeholders. The information gathered from the research was then used to shape the UNMC brand — including messaging, image and colors.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
