stay informed about campus happenings related to the H1N1 flu through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/flu\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">UNMC&#8217;s H1N1 Web site<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The Web site, produced by the Department of Public Relations, features:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>News and updates;<br \/>\n<LI>Videos and soundbites;<br \/>\n<LI>Links to such local and federal resources as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nebraska Health and Human Services and the World Health Organization;<br \/>\n<LI>UNMC&#8217;s pandemic flu experts; and<br \/>\n<LI>The disaster preparation guide for families. <\/UL><br \/>\n<\/P><br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>LINCOLN &#8212; Peter Iwen, Ph.D., associate professor of pathology and microbiology at UNMC, will participate in a Nebraska Educational Television panel discussion on the H1N1 virus and how it affects families and the state as whole.<\/p>\n<p>The panel will be part of the hour-long NET Television production &#8220;Flu Facts,&#8221; which will air initially on Monday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. CDT.<\/p>\n<p>The show will be rebroadcast on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. CDT and Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. CDT on NET1 and NET-HD.  <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Iwen and other medical and public policy experts will discuss:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>The medical science behind the virus;<br \/>\n<LI>What to expect during flu season;<br \/>\n<LI>What individuals should do if they catch the flu,<br \/>\n<LI>Vaccines; and<br \/>\n<LI>Implications for schools, businesses and other entities.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p>Other panelists include:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Dr. Susan Gourley, superintendent of Lincoln Public Schools;<br \/>\n<LI>Dr. Robert Rhodes, a Lincoln family practice physician;
