Lunch will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation will cover<br \/>\n<UL><LI>History;<br \/>\n<LI>Approval pathways; and<br \/>\n<LI>NDA requirements in the United States and European Union. <\/UL><\/p>\n<p>The discussion also will touch on the types of studies conducted at different phases, discussion of what is required at each phase and regulatory reasons.<\/p>\n<p>With more than three decades of experience in the health science and services industry, Phelps is an expert in drug development and has aided in the successful FDA approval of numerous compounds.<\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"260\" cellspacing=\"5\" cellpadding=\"3\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<TABLE border=\"1\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"5\" bgcolor=\"D1D4D3\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\"><br \/>\n<B><br \/>\nInnovation Week schedule<br \/>\n<\/B><br \/>\n<BR><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\nGo to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unemed.com\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">www.unemed.com<\/a> for a full calendar of Innovation Week events.<br \/>\n<\/P><br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>&#8220;This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to learn more about the steps required to move their discoveries from the bench to the clinic,&#8221; said Michael Dixon, Ph.D., president of UNeMed. &#8220;We are very excited to have a former faculty member help guide us through the complex regulatory pathways which are required for translational research.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Phelps began his career at the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center where he synthesized, characterized and performed drug metabolism studies of potential carcinogens.
