{"id":35261,"date":"2009-10-08T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-08T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2009\/10\/08\/national-pharmacy-organization-checks-in-on-unmc\/"},"modified":"2009-10-08T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-10-08T05:00:00","slug":"national-pharmacy-organization-checks-in-on-unmc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2009\/10\/08\/national-pharmacy-organization-checks-in-on-unmc\/","title":{"rendered":"National pharmacy organization checks in on UNMC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) was well-represented at UNMC recently as both the organization&#8217;s president and vice president were on campus at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"10\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/AACP909.jpg\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" alt=\"picture disc.\"><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:7pt;line-height:150%\">UNMC&#8217;s Jeff Baldwin, Pharm.D., president of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), with Lucinda Maine, Ph.D., the AACP&#8217;s executive vice present and CEO, during Dr. Maine&#8217;s recent visit to UNMC.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>Of course, the current AACP president is UNMC&#8217;s own Jeff Baldwin, Pharm.D., professor of pharmacy practice.<\/p>\n<p>Lucinda Maine, Ph.D., executive vice president and chief executive officer of the AACP, visited UNMC late last month to meet with faculty and students and discuss faculty needs and the role of pharmacy in a reformed health care system. <\/p>\n<p>The AACP was founded in 1900 and is composed of all 110 colleges and schools of pharmacy in the United States. The organization is the primary advocate for the nation&#8217;s pharmacy schools.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Baldwin took over as president this summer. His tenure will last one year, at which time he will serve one-year as past-president. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The American Association of Colleges of
