(Wednesdays, 5 to 7:50 p.m.)<br \/>\n<LI><B>2010 Interpersonal Communication (3 credits) &#8212; <\/B>. Investigation of the theories and concepts in the field of interpersonal communication. The course includes field and laboratory experiences in applying these theories and concepts to relevant social contexts. (Mondays, 5 to 7:50 p.m.)<\/UL><br \/>\n<\/P><br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>An adviser from the University of Nebraska at Omaha will be back on the UNMC campus several times in the coming months to meet with medical center employees who wish to further their education. <\/p>\n<p>The adviser will be at UNMC on the following days:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Monday, Oct. 19;<br \/>\n<LI>Wednesday, Oct. 28;<br \/>\n<LI>Tuesday Nov. 24; and<br \/>\n<LI>Wednesday Dec.16. <\/UL> <\/p>\n<p>The adviser can help employees pursue a bachelor of science, a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of general studies (BGS) degrees. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unomaha.edu\/dcs\/index.php\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">BGS degree<\/a> is a fully accredited 125 hour undergraduate degree program for students 21 and older. With a BGS degree, employees can either choose to focus on one of over 40 areas of concentration that range from criminology and criminal justice to speech communication, or concentrate on three areas of emphasis. <\/p>\n<p>The BGS program also gives students the opportunity to complete their degrees online. Another advantage to this program is that all credits previously earned at an accredited institution will count towards a degree. <\/p>\n<p>Contact Margaret Boyce at 559-4371 about appointments with the adviser. Appointments last 45 minutes and are held in the Administrative Center, Room 2032.
