{"id":35932,"date":"2010-01-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-20T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2010\/01\/20\/hr-spring-learnlunch-series-kicks-off-on-feb-10\/"},"modified":"2010-01-20T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-20T06:00:00","slug":"hr-spring-learnlunch-series-kicks-off-on-feb-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2010\/01\/20\/hr-spring-learnlunch-series-kicks-off-on-feb-10\/","title":{"rendered":"HR Spring Learn@Lunch series kicks off on Feb. 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p><I>(EDITOR&#8217;S NOTE: The following note is from UNMC Human Resources.) <\/I><\/p>\n<p>UNMC Human Resources will launch its spring Learn@Lunch Series &#8212; titled &#8220;Managing Change: Moving Forward with Enthusiasm and Confidence&#8221; &#8212; on Wednesday, Feb. 10 as Donna Allen Cover, Ph.D., CEO of Positive Purpose, Inc., presents &#8220;The Power of Resiliency in Times of Change.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"260\" cellspacing=\"5\" cellpadding=\"3\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<TABLE border=\"1\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"5\" bgcolor=\"D1D4D3\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\"><br \/>\n<B><br \/>\nFuture sessions<br \/>\n<\/B><br \/>\n<BR><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\nFuture sessions in the Learn@Lunch series are:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Coach Kevin Kush, Boystown Head Football Coach and an ABC News &#8220;Person of the Week&#8221; in 2005, will present &#8220;Organizational and Individual Change&#8221; on Wednesday, March 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Auditorium.<br \/>\n<LI>Patrick Friman, Ph.D., director of clinical services at Boystown and clinical professor of pediatrics at UNMC, will present &#8220;Adapting (well) to Changes in the Workplace&#8221; on Tuesday, April 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Auditorium. <\/UL><br \/>\n<\/P><br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>The session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the College of Nursing Cooper Auditorium. <\/p>\n<p>There are different types of changes people experience in their lives, including the forces that drive change on the job. <\/p>\n<p>This session will discuss the myths and realities of change, typical emotional responses, how people react and the transition process. <\/p>\n<p>Discover the key to successful change &#8212; resiliency. It is not just about surviving change, it is about becoming stronger because of the challenges associated with it. <\/p>\n<p>Lunch will be provided to the first 150 participants to attend each session.  Preregistration is required and can be <a href=\"https:\/\/unebapps01.nebraska.edu\/uwide\/trnreg.nsf\/unmcclass?openform\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">completed online<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Most Spring 2010 Learn@Lunch sessions will be available on archived webcast seven to 10 days following each session. <\/p>\n<p>The webcast will be listed on the Human Resources Web site under Training and
