The walk starts at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the foundation will hold events in 24 cities to raise funds for lymphoma research and education. The LYMPHOMAthon is a fun-filled, non-competitive event that offers survivors, family, friends, community and corporate teams the chance to walk in honor of those whose lives have been touched by lymphoma. <\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"260\" cellspacing=\"5\" cellpadding=\"3\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<TABLE border=\"1\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"5\" bgcolor=\"D1D4D3\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\"><br \/>\n<B><br \/>\nEvent sponsors<br \/>\n<\/B><br \/>\n<BR><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n<font face=\"arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\nSponsors include:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Union Pacific;<br \/>\n<LI>Cassling Diagnostic Imaging, Inc.;<br \/>\n<LI>Biogen Idec;<br \/>\n<LI>Millenium;<br \/>\n<LI>UNMC;<br \/>\n<LI>The Nebraska Medical Center;<br \/>\n<LI>UNMC Physicians; and<br \/>\n<LI>WOWT TV Channel 6.<\/UL><br \/>\n<\/P><br \/>\n<\/FONT><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>Lymphoma, a type of cancer that involves the lymph nodes, falls into two broad categories: Hodgkin&#8217;s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin&#8217;s lymphoma. The incidence of non-Hodgkin&#8217;s lymphoma in Nebraska is higher than the national average.
