The funds will benefit Nebraskans through free patient services and research grants.<\/p>\n<p><B>Linsey Donner,<\/B> a clinical laboratory science instructor in the School of Allied Health Professions, is one of eight undergraduate educators to receive the Early-Career Faculty Travel Award from the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). Each awardee receives funding to attend the ASM conference May 20-23 in San Diego and will be formally recognized at the conference.<\/p>\n<p><B>Kristen Messbarger,<\/B> a fourth-level student at the College of Nursing-Kearney Division who also plays tennis for the University of Nebraska at Kearney, was named the 2010 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tennis Player of the Year.
