\nAbout the hospital

\n
\nNebraska Orthopaedic Hospital — which opened in 2004 — is the only orthopaedic specialty hospital of its kind in the state of Nebraska. <\/p>\n

The hospital — which is at 144th and W. Center Road in Omaha — is a partnership between 27 orthopaedic surgeons and UNMC’s hospital partner — The Nebraska Medical Center. <\/p>\n

Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures as well as outpatient physical and occupational therapy and MRI.

\n<\/TABLE>Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital (NOH) continues to add to its list of recognitions as it was honored for the first time with the distinction of one of America’s best hospitals by U.S.News & World Report. <\/p>\n

The magazine’s annual Best Hospitals list ranked NOH 39th on the list of top hospitals in orthopaedics. NOH is the only Nebraska hospital to be recognized in the 2010 U.S.News & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings. <\/p>\n

“We’re extremely excited and proud to be recognized and given such a prestigious honor,” said Charles Burt, M.D., adjunct professor of orthopaedic surgery at UNMC and chairman of the NOH board. “This ranking validates the goals we set for ourselves and we will continue to work to provide excellent care for our patients.” <\/p>\n

Out of 4,852 hospitals across the country considered, only the top 152 hospitals were selected for the 2010 America’s Best Hospital’s report.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
