Union Pacific amassed nearly 4,800 miles to finish first. Alegent riders notched nearly 3,400 miles to finish third. <\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"10\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/NursingPhoto810.jpg\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" alt=\"picture disc.\"><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:7pt;line-height:150%\">Allison Schnoes and Michelle Fraser perform a blood glucose check for a health fair participant.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE><B>The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA)<\/B> will hold the second annual National Postdoctoral Appreciation Day on Friday, Sept. 24. In recognition, UNMC will host a Happy Hour Reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Durham Research Center II commons area.  <\/p>\n<p><B>A public open house<\/B> will be held at the J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. The McIntosh College of Nursing houses the new UNMC College of Nursing Northern Division and Northeast Community College&#8217;s nursing programs.<\/p>\n<p><B>UNMC health care professionals<\/B> will provide free lung disease screenings at Husker Harvest Days, Sept. 14-16, in Grand Island. UNMC health professionals will provide free screenings for a hereditary cause of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), called alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. The screening is for those with abnormal pulmonary function tests and\/or a prior diagnosis of COPD.<\/p>\n<p><B>UNMC level 4 accelerated nursing students<\/B> recently held a health fair at the Charles Drew Health Center (29th and Grant streets) for the Omaha Healthy Start participants and the surrounding community as part of their Public\/Community Health Nursing course. The health fair was aimed at education and screening for risk factors related to infant mortality and child safety.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A list of
