{"id":37177,"date":"2010-09-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-09-30T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2010\/09\/30\/update-your-e2campus-account-ensure-youre-in-the-know\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T20:21:16","modified_gmt":"2022-09-03T01:21:16","slug":"update-your-e2campus-account-ensure-youre-in-the-know","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2010\/09\/30\/update-your-e2campus-account-ensure-youre-in-the-know\/","title":{"rendered":"Update your e2Campus account, ensure you&#8217;re in the know"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Had a situation similar to the shooting at Creighton University Medical Center on Wednesday occurred at UNMC, subscribed employees and students would have quickly received an e2Campus message alerting them to the situation.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the word from UNMC Campus Security Director Gary Svanda. <\/p>\n<p>In the case of a life-threatening situation on campus &#8212; e2Campus simultaneously sends subscribers alerts via:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Text messages;<br \/>\n<LI>E-mails;<br \/>\n<LI>Voicemails; and\/or<br \/>\n<LI>Pages.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p><B>Register now!<\/B><\/p>\n<p>To make sure you would receive the messages, register at:<br \/>\n<UL><LI><a href=\"https:\/\/net.unmc.edu\/ess\/secure\/index.asp?bw=p\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">http:ess.unmc.edu<\/a> if you&#8217;re an employee; or<br \/>\n<LI><a href=\"http:\/\/care.unmc.edu\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/care.unmc.edu<\/a> or via Blackboard if you&#8217;re a student.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p><B>Subscriber tips<\/B><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re already registered, here&#8217;s some information to keep in mind:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>You can manage your e2Campus profile (add and change phone numbers and e-mail addresses) online at the same sites where you register; and<br \/>\n<LI>You must manually add your campus e-mail address to your account to receive e2Campus messages at your UNMC e-mail address.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p><B>Want to register a friend or family member?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>If you want to have e2Campus messages sent to friends or family members it&#8217;s best to:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Register them at a time when they are able to quickly relay to you the confirmation numbers they receive via text message and\/or e-mail;<br \/>\n<LI>The registering employee or student needs to supply these numbers to complete the registration in a timely manner.
