Pick one and tell us about a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC.<\/B> <\/p>\n<p>I witness UNMC being a trusted resource almost every day. The local and national media sources that I read frequently quote or prominently feature an expert from UNMC. Great work is done here. The local community knows it, Nebraskans know it and I think the rest of the country knows it.<\/p>\n<p><B>List three things people may not know about you.<\/B><\/p>\n<p><UL><LI>During college I worked at a shelter for women and children who were escaping domestic violence. I learned so much about life from this job.<br \/>\n<LI>I worked in Washington, D.C., for two different members of Congress from Nebraska &#8212; one in the House of Representatives and the other in the Senate.<br \/>\n<LI>I sold machines to telephone, cable television and power companies that helped the companies find faults in their lines. The best part of this job was that my territory was Europe. I traveled for two weeks at a time to at least four countries each trip. I took such trips about every six weeks.
