\nJohn Walburn, M.D., and the pediatric clinic need gently used children’s books for their participation in the Reach and Read Program. Next to Dr. Walburn is the 2007 Spirit of Literacy Award, which the clinic received for its efforts in the program. <\/span>
\n<\/TD>
\n<\/TR>
\n<\/TABLE>The clinic has participated in the program for 10 years and has distributed more than 40,000 books to young visitors. The clinic was honored for its efforts with the 2007 “Spirit of Literacy” award from the Literacy Council of the Midlands.<\/p>\n

The clinic seeks gently used books in any language that are appropriate for all ages of children, but specifically for grade school-aged children.<\/p>\n

Books can be brought to the General Pediatric Clinic on the first floor of the Durham Outpatient Center.<\/p>\n
