\n<\/TABLE>Magda Peck, Sc,D.,<\/B> associate dean, College of Public Health, has been elected to the board of directors of the Women’s Center for Advancement, formerly the YWCA Omaha.<\/p>\n

UNMC Public Relations<\/B> received an Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Institutional Advancement Award for Excellence for the 2010 “Push-Ups for Haiti” event, during which medical center students and employees did push-ups to raise money for UNMC relief efforts following a massive earthquake in Haiti. <\/p>\n

Ashish Joshi, M.D.,<\/B> assistant professor in the UNMC College of Public Health Center for Global Health and Development, received a scholarship to attend the 2011 American Medical Informatics Association’s Public Health conference in May. <\/p>\n

Matthew Zimmerman, Ph.D.,<\/B> assistant professor of cellular and integrative physiology, received the New Investigator Award from the Neural Control and Autonomic Regulation section of The American Physiological Society.<\/p>\n

Noah Marcus<\/B> and Erin Rosenbaugh<\/B> of the department of cellular and integrative physiology have received American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate Fellowships for a two-year period.<\/p>\n
