Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redcross.org\/\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">www.redcross.org<\/a> to see ways you can support the Red Cross in its relief efforts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fema.gov\/hazard\/tornado\/index.shtm\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">Read information<\/a> from the Federal Emergency Management Agency regarding tornadoes and tornado safety. Several methods will be used to communicate the severe weather information to employees at work at UNMC, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NOAA weather alert radios;<\/li>\n<li>Audible devices on the fire alarm systems (some areas);<\/li>\n<li>e2 Emergency Notification System (to key dept phone numbers);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2011\/02\/07\/have-you-registered-for-e2campus-yet\/\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">e2 Text messages<\/a> to cell phones for those who subscribed;<\/li>\n<li>Text pagers;<\/li>\n<li>House paging;<\/li>\n<li>PC crawler; and<\/li>\n<li>Broadcast media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, Douglas County will sound Civil Defense Warning Sirens.
