\nThe George Washington Carver exhibit<\/a> includes more than a hundred artifacts, along with videos, interactive displays, recreated scenes and more. <\/span>

\n<\/TABLE>What makes a man a legend? In the case of George Washington Carver it wasn’t just peanuts. <\/p>\n

The Durham Museum’s newest exhibit<\/a> is the backdrop for this year’s participant’s night on Aug. 9. <\/p>\n

UNMC and TNMC employees and their families will learn about the life and work of George Washington Carver – an extraordinary man, born into slavery, who used his gifts to become a groundbreaking scientist, educator and humanitarian. <\/p>\n

The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. as part of the Time Travelers program, a partnership between UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center and the museum, which is at 801 S. 10th St. <\/p>\n
