\n<\/TABLE>Fred Salzinger has been appointed director of health planning, policy and finance in UNMC Business and Finance.<\/p>\n

Salzinger will report to Bradley Britigan, M.D., dean of the College of Medicine, and focus on special projects such as strategic planning as well as assisting UNMC Physicians with its compensation plan project. <\/p>\n

“Fred has a wealth of experience in academic medicine and in the Omaha community,” said Don Leuenberger, vice chancellor for business and finance. “We look forward to his contributions to the continued success of UNMC.”<\/p>\n

\n<\/TABLE>Salzinger most recently worked at Creighton University Health Sciences Office as associate vice president for health science where he concentrated on planning, finance, administration and government relations. <\/p>\n

He also served a tenure as associate dean for finance and administration in the Creighton University School of Medicine. <\/p>\n

Before his time at Creighton, Salzinger spent seven years as the chief financial officer of the faculty practice plan at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College.<\/p>\n
