on 40th Street construction and the &#8216;Emile Bend&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>The final phase of the Student Plaza should be completed by the end of this month as:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>All paving and curbs from the original 40th Street have been removed and new top soil, concrete sidewalks, sod and sprinkler systems will be installed in the next two weeks;<br \/>\n<LI>Access around the construction site will be maintained during this work; and<br \/>\n<LI>Temporary paths will be installed from Parking Lot 15 on the north side of the Harold M. and Beverly Maurer Center for Public Health to the Sorrell Center.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p>All staff and students should take extra caution in the area of the construction site as construction vehicles will cross the site until the permanent sidewalks are in place. <\/p>\n<p>Officials see public access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2011\/05\/09\/emile-bend-work-to-start-next-week-notes-on-summer-construction\/\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Emile Bend&#8217;<\/a> coming in early October as:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Work continues between 41st and 40th streets;<br \/>\n<LI>Preliminary grading has been established and new utilities are being installed; and<br \/>\n<LI>New concrete curbs and paving should start by the week of Sept. 19 with final landscaping and lighting to follow.<\/UL><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student Plaza work and
