The sessions will be held by the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing in Scottsbluff, Alliance and Kearney.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 12pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">The master&rsquo;s degree program, called the Nurse Leader Executive Advanced Development (LEAD), <\/span><span>uses the Internet and other distance technologies <\/span><span>and is<b><span style=\"color: red\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: black\">tailored for Nebraska nurses working in rural settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, acute care facilities and long term care facilities. <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">UNMC College of Nursing professors Karen Grigsby, Ph.D., and Teresa Hultquist, Ph.D., will present information about the programs and answer questions.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 12pt\"><span style=\"color: black\"><br \/>\nNurses can access the program as a part-time or full-time student in one of three ways &#8212; an accelerated registered nurse to master&rsquo;s degree in nursing program, a traditional bachelor&rsquo;s degree to master&rsquo;s degree or a post-master&rsquo;s certificate. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">The goal is to expand the number of registered nurses with advanced preparation in administration and leadership. The specialty program provides opportunities for nurse leaders to develop knowledge and skill to improve the work environment and help nurses at the bedside deliver the best possible care. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><b><span style=\"color: black\">Scottsbluff<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: black\"> &ndash; <b>Tuesday, Sept. 13<\/b> at 8 a.m. in the Sioux Room at Regional West Medical Center<\/span><span style=\"color: red\"> .<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><b><span style=\"color: black\">Alliance<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: black\"> &ndash; <b>Tuesday, Sept. 13<\/b> at 1 p.m. in the Hyannis Room at Box Butte General Hospital.
