{"id":39270,"date":"2011-10-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-21T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2011\/10\/21\/enhanced-thank-u-program-starts-monday\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T20:39:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-03T01:39:09","slug":"enhanced-thank-u-program-starts-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2011\/10\/21\/enhanced-thank-u-program-starts-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhanced Thank &#8216;U&#8217; program starts Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Next week, UNMC rolls out the enhanced Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217; program. <\/p>\n<p><TABLE border=\"0\" width=\"250\" cellspacing=\"10\" align=\"right\"><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/UNMCTodayreveal.jpg\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" alt=\"picture disc.\"><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<TR><br \/>\n<TD><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:7pt; line-height:150%;\">Employees who get six Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217; awards for a particular brand value will receive the Vital Pin that corresponds with that value.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/TD><br \/>\n<\/TR><br \/>\n<\/TABLE>The Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217; program is an updated version of the Thank &#8216;U&#8217; employee appreciation program that has been in operation at UNMC for several years. <\/p>\n<p>As has been done previously, employees will be able to send fellow employees Thank &#8216;U&#8217; awards for excellent service. Recipients will continue to receive cards as well as medallions that can be redeemed for gifts and services. <\/p>\n<p><B>What&#8217;s new? <\/B> <\/p>\n<p>The enhanced program will reward employees who demonstrate UNMC&#8217;s brand values of:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Leadership;<br \/>\n<LI>Team;<br \/>\n<LI>Resource; and<br \/>\n<LI>Excellence.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p><B>How does it work?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>When employees go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/edge.unmc.edu\/ess\/secure\/index.php\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">ESS website<\/a> to send Thank &#8216;U&#8217; awards, they will be asked to check a box that corresponds to the brand value that the award recipient demonstrated and also write a description of what the recipient did to receive the award. <\/p>\n<p>Employees who receive the awards will get a Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217; award card along with the UNMC medallions, which can be redeemed for gift cards and other services. Each calendar year, an employee can send 12 medallions and redeem 10. <\/p>\n<p>Once a person receives six &#8220;Thank U&#8221; awards for a particular brand value, they will be sent a &#8220;Vital Pin&#8221; to recognize their continued demonstration of that value. Those who receive Vital Pins also will be recognized in UNMC Today.  <\/p>\n<p><B>Why the change in the program? <\/B><\/p>\n<p>The Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217; program aims to:<br \/>\n<UL><LI>Recognize employees for their demonstration of our brand values; and<br \/>\n<LI>Raise awareness of how often these values are on display in our day-to-day activities. <\/UL><\/p>\n<p><B>Who gets the rewards? <\/B><\/p>\n<p>Anyone may request that a Vital Thank &#8216;U&#8217;
