The VAST clinic provides expert pre-travel health assessments, vaccinations and medical care for international travelers. The clinic aims to:
\n

  • Protect patients against diseases and ailments that may be encountered in travel;
    \n
  • Provide medications to self-treat illnesses if they should happen; and
    \n
  • Teach about wise food and beverage choices and how to handle jet lag, high-altitude treks and ocean-related exposures. <\/UL> <\/p>\n

    How does it work? <\/B><\/p>\n

    Schedule your appointment about six weeks prior to your trip. Most vaccines take time to become effective and some must be given in a series over a period of time. If it is less than four weeks before you leave, it is still recommended that you see a travel certified physician.You may benefit from some immunizations, medications or consultation on how to protect yourself while traveling.<\/p>\n

    What does it cost? <\/B><\/p>\n

    This depends largely on where you travel. The pricing is very competitive with other travel clinics in Omaha and VAST submits your claim to insurance for you, unlike many other local clinics. For a general idea, you can inquire about costs over the phone prior to your consultation.<\/p>\n

    Where are the clinics and how do I make an appointment? <\/B><\/p>\n

    The Midtown Clinic is at 40th and Dodge streets and another clinic is at Village Pointe at 175th and Burke streets. To schedule an appointment, contact:
