Attendees will hear from Andrew Jameton, Ph.D., a professor in the department of health promotion, social and behavioral health in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/publichealth\/\">College of Public Health<\/a> at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">Dr. Jameton&#8217;s main areas of expertise are in the philosophy and ethics of environmental health. He is currently teaching and conducting research on global ethical issues in health care and public health, such as equality, environment, ecological medicine, and global climate change.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">Dr. Jameton serves on the medical ethics committee, the institutional review board, the ethics consultation service, and the pharmacy and therapeutics committee at UNMC. He is a co-founder and board member of City Sprouts, a community gardening and sustainability education project. He received a degree in psychology from Harvard University and a degree in philosophy from the University of Washington.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">Science Caf&eacute; is a free educational event sponsored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and other groups to increase the population&rsquo;s science literacy. Hosted by UNMC, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bionebraska.com\/\"><span style=\"color: blue\">Bio Nebraska<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: black\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nebraskacures.com\/\"><span style=\"color: blue\">Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: black\">, Science Caf&eacute;s are held the first Tuesday of each month in Omaha and one Thursday every other month in Lincoln.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: normal;margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"color: black\">Free pizza, available for the first 50 people, will be provided by Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures.
