It was fun to get together with other graduate students to socialize and laugh about life in academia. <\/p>\n<p><B>Our four brand values are leadership, commitment to excellence, working together and being a trusted resource. Pick one and tell us a time you witnessed it embodied at UNMC. <\/B><\/p>\n<p>Trusted resource. As graduate students, we are required to take a course on ethics in academia &#8212; which addresses issues such as plagiarism and fabrication of data in research publications. It was one of the more valuable courses I&#8217;ve taken. This course helps ensure UNMC contributes to a trusted and reliable research workforce.<\/p>\n<p><B>List three things people may not know about you.<\/B><br \/>\n<UL><LI>I volunteer at the Nebraska Humane Society. For about two hours a week I walk dogs in their adoption program.<br \/>\n<LI>I&#8217;m the president of UNMC&#8217;s graduate student association.<br \/>\n<LI>I am the third of four children. I have one brother and two sisters.
