These studies range from cancer treatment, COPD, HIV\/AIDS to smoking cessation programs. I also am a biostatistician with the Children&#8217;s Oncology Group, which is the only national cooperative group that conducts clinical trials in pediatric cancer. My statistical methodology work is developing methods to map incidence of disease.<\/p>\n<p><B>How do you want your research to translate to benefit patients?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>My particular interest is in cancer research with  the goal of reducing the incidence of cancer and improving the quality of life for patients with cancer.<\/p>\n<p><B>What is the best piece of advice anyone ever gave you, professional or personal?<\/B><\/p>\n<p>The best advice I had was to pursue a career in biostatistics.
