The appointment is effective May 16.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\nSince 2004, Dr. Lisco has served on the faculty at the <a href=\"http:\/\/med.uc.edu\/Home.aspx\">University of Cincinnati College of Medicine<\/a> and currently serves as director of three programs &ndash; Critical Care Services, Out-of-OR Anesthesiology, and the Critical Care Consult Service.<\/p>\n<p>\n&ldquo;Dr. Lisco has a clear vision and excellent experience in a highly regarded anesthesiology program as well as in critical care medicine,&rdquo; said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/com_dean.htm\">Bradley Britigan, M.D.,<\/a> dean of the UNMC College of Medicine. &ldquo;He is a very enthusiastic, forward thinker who works well with others and supports the team approach that is so necessary in the new environment of health care reform.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\nA fellow of both the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chestnet.org\/accp\/\">American College of Chest Physicians<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sccm.org\/Pages\/default.aspx\">American College of Critical Care Medicine<\/a>, Dr. Lisco&rsquo;s research and clinical interests are in critical care medicine, bloodless medicine and management of anemia.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe completed his medical degree from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meddean.luc.edu\/\">Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine<\/a>. Following medical school, Dr. Lisco did his internal medicine residency at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.med.umich.edu\/\">University of Michigan Medical Center<\/a>, his anesthesiology residency at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brighamandwomens.org\/\">Brigham and Women&rsquo;s Hospital<\/a> in Boston, and a critical care fellowship at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massgeneral.org\/\">Massachusetts General Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to coming to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Lisco served on the faculty of <a href=\"http:\/\/hms.harvard.edu\/\">Harvard Medical School<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mssm.edu\/\">Mt.
