Several teams arrived in London this week and the Mandeville Movers maintained the top overall spot in this week’s rankings.<\/p>\n

\nJames Gamerl of the College of Pharmacy notched 283,680 steps this past week to grab the Blue T-shirt<\/span>
\n<\/TD>
\n<\/TR>
\n<\/TABLE>While not yet in London, Olympic Team MMI accumulated 2,477,558 steps this week to take home the “Jean Team” title. That means Olympic Team MMI members can wear jeans Thursday through next Wednesday. <\/p>\n

The Blue T-Shirt<\/B><\/p>\n

As far as individual efforts go, James Gamerl of the College of Pharmacy logged a stunning 283,680 steps this past week to take hold of the Blue T-shirt<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Motivated to win a challenge within his own walking team, Team Phar Out, Gamerl adopted an intense daily regimen that included two five-mile runs per day along with a lunch-hour walk. <\/p>\n

But take heart fellow walkers, Gamerl doesn’t plan to keep up his blistering pace. On his way to the Blue T-shirt, he acquired a nice case of shin splints. <\/p>\n

Random challenge winner<\/B><\/p>\n

Finally, congratulations to Edward Fritz, who walked 11,768 steps between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday to win the second random challenge and a $10 iTunes gift card.<\/p>\n
