{"id":42190,"date":"2013-03-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-04T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2013\/03\/04\/how-you-can-support-the-proud-to-play-a-part-initiative\/"},"modified":"2013-03-04T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-04T06:00:00","slug":"how-you-can-support-the-proud-to-play-a-part-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2013\/03\/04\/how-you-can-support-the-proud-to-play-a-part-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"How you can support the Proud To Play A Part Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\"><p>Beginning today, employees have the opportunity to express their pride through a new initiative &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2013\/03\/04\/proud-to-play-a-part-initiative-kicks-off-2\/\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">I&#8217;m Proud To Play A Part<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The four-week campaign brings together employees of UNMC, The Nebraska Medical Center, UNMC Physicians and Bellevue Medical Center to support two important on-campus building projects: the Ambulatory Care Center and Cancer Center Campus. <\/p>\n<p><b>T-Shirts<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This week I&#8217;m Proud To Play A Part T-shirts will be sold:<br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI>Tuesday &#8212; Sorrell Alumni Commons, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (cash or check only)<br \/>\n<LI>Wednesday &#8212; Durham Research Center Maurer Commons, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (cash or check only)<br \/>\n<LI>The Nebraska Medical Center Company Store (cash or check only) Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For night staff and offsite locations, email Kara Haworth at <a href=\"mailto:khaworth@nebraskamed.com\">khaworth@nebraskamed.com<\/a>. She will assist you with purchasing a T-shirt (cash or check only).<\/UL><\/p>\n<p><b>Pride Day<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Wear your I&#8217;m Proud To Play A Part T-shirt this Friday and show your pride.<\/p>\n<p><b>Prize Drawings<\/b><\/p>\n<p>All persons <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nufoundation.org\/proudtoplayapart\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">making a gift online<\/a> or with a returned contribution card will automatically be entered into weekly prize drawings. Each week, a top prize will be given away along with several restaurant, retail and specialty services gift certificates ranging from $25 to $50. <\/p>\n<p>This week&#8217;s top prize is <b>two club-level tickets to the Taylor Swift concert<\/b> on March 14 at CenturyLink Center Omaha. <\/p>\n<p>The first drawing will be Tuesday, March 12. Participants who are not chosen in the first drawing will automatically be entered into the next drawing. <\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size:.85em;\">All employees of the above entities (collectively &#8220;Employees&#8221;) making gifts to the &#8220;I&#8217;m Proud To Play A Part Fund&#8221; will be automatically registered and eligible for applicable prize drawings described herein. Employees may also be eligible for applicable prize drawings with no gift necessary, and automatically registered employees may opt not to participate in prize drawings, by contacting abougger@nufoundation.org. Any gifts made will not increase the odds of winning for any Employees. Prize winners will be selected randomly by number drawing. Odds of winning approximately 1:287 [39 prizes: 11,200 employees].
