\nFaculty from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry will go to Grand Island, North Platte and Scottsbluff next month to provide training to dental health professionals on managing patients who have severe inflammation caused by periodontal disease.<\/p>\n

\nThe annual UNMC College of Dentistry Dental Education Caravan will feature presentations by Richard Reinhardt, D.D.S., and Amy Killeen, D.D.S. Those who attend receive 3.5 hours of free continuing dental education credit.<\/p>\n

\nIn addition, John Reinhardt, D.D.S., dean of the UNMC College of Dentistry, will present a brief update on education, research, patient care and outreach activities at the college. Dr. Reinhardt is available for media interviews following the presentations.<\/p>\n

\nThe programs will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at each of the following locations:<\/p>\n

\nMay 7 – North Platte, Quality Inn & Suites<\/p>\n

\nMay 8 – Scottsbluff, Harms Advanced Technology Center at Western Nebraska Community College<\/p>\n

\nMay 9 – Grand Island, Interstate Holiday Inn<\/p>\n

\nThe agenda at each location is as follows:<\/p>\n

\n1 p.m. – Greeting and introduction by Merlyn Vogt, D.D.S., assistant professor in the department of surgical specialties.<\/p>\n

\n1:10 p.m. – UNMC College of Dentistry update by Dean John Reinhardt, D.D.S.<\/p>\n

\n1:30 p.m. –“Periodontal Inflammation Management – Part 1” – Dr. Richard Reinhardt<\/p>\n

\n3:15 p.m. – “Periodontal Inflammation Management – Part 2” – Dr. Amy Killeen<\/p>\n
